Yankees release Kosuke Fukudome from Triple-A

Aardsma allows four runs in latest minor league rehab outing
Two wins and two losses on the final day of the season

Via Mike Vander Woude, the Yankees have released outfielder/first baseman Kosuke Fukudome from their Triple-A squad. They signed him to a minor league deal back in mid-July and he went on to hit .278/.440/.378 (137 wRC+) with two walks, 37 walks, and 25 strikeouts in 127 plate appearances. The Yankees added Fukudome as depth shortly after Brett Gardner’s third setback, but he didn’t do anything to earn a call-up and force the club to give him a look.
