Jeter healing as expected, will shed boot in 6-7 weeks

Possible Trade Partner: Cincinnati Reds
Rangers agree to sign Joakim Soria

During an appearance on The Michael Kay Show, Derek Jeter confirmed his surgically repaired left ankle is healing as expected. He will remain in his walking boot for another 6-7 weeks and unsurprisingly, the Cap’n expects to be ready in time for Spring Training. Whether that actually happens is another matter entirely. There’s still a long way to go in the rehab process and older players aren’t exactly swift healers. Either way, so far so good.
